I have been spending a lot of time in LA lately and really fell in love with Silverlake – now, my official fav neighborhood. I have decided to start my aestheticallypleasing journey here as I simply love the hip vibe and the colors in this part of Los Angeles.
Today my outfit is an answer to an existential question – how to wear a cropped sweater unless you have THE perfect body and/or you do push-ups daily.
Despite being problematic, crop tops and sweaters have one big advantage – by being so short they visually lengthen the bottom part of your body and if you choose the right bottoms to go with, wearing a cropped sweater can be a real winner.
I wore my Michael Kors Cashmere Waffle Crop Sweater (similar here) with a pair of ultra-comfortable and flattering Zara High wasted/belted pants (similar here) – those two were meant to be together! The MK cropped sweater revealed the most interesting and attractive part of the pants which is the waist, that would otherwise be totally hidden under any other normal length piece.
This look could be very smart-chic with a pair of heels, but I went for a more casual version with Dolce&Gabbana linen floral sneakers (similar here) and a forever-classic Louis Vuitton backpack (similar here).
My jewelry is always a wild mix: some Cartier, some Dior, some Kenzo, some antique and of course tons of my favorite Monica Vinader – beautiful yet affordable jewelry in precious metals, semi precious stones and diamonds (tiny ones :))
I hope this post was useful for those of you who needed a few tips on how to wear a cropped sweater!
